At this event, which involved local government agencies and major medical institutions, Hugel explained that it participated as the first Korean and the fourth manufacturer and producer worldwide to enter the Chinese botulinum toxin (BTX) market.

China, along with the United States and Europe, is one of the world's three major botulinum toxin markets. Recently, under government leadership, it notified manufacturers to establish a 'tracking system' for the distribution process of botulinum toxin products. Hugel has established and operates a tracking, management, and supervision system for the entire local distribution process of the BTX product 'Retivo' (Korean product name Botulex), from customs to distribution, transportation, and delivery to medical institutions.

Hugel has conducted various activities to encourage the use of genuine products and strengthen consumer awareness. Since August last year, together with its Chinese partner Sahuan Pharmaceutical’s subsidiary Meiyankongjian and the China Association of Plastics and Aesthetics, Hugel has established a barcode system for authentic product verification at 50 medical institutions in about 20 major cities including Beijing. The company also carried out the '1 Patient 1 Vial' campaign to ensure consumers receive certified products safely from medical professionals.

In recognition of these efforts, Hugel received an award for exemplary genuine product activities at the 'Medical Aesthetic Institution Compliance and China Medical Aesthetic Industry Information Disclosure Launch Ceremony' held in March.

A Hugel official stated, "As the first Korean company to enter China, Hugel has actively participated in the Chinese government's '3 Regulars' campaign through its local subsidiary Hugel Shanghai Aesthetics. As the only Korean company in the Chinese market, we will continue various activities to enhance the value and trust of our company and brand."
