Ulsan City is recruiting companies to participate in the 'Design-Driven Manufacturing Innovation Support Project.' This project supports companies that primarily supply design content to large corporations to independently develop high value-added products.
Ulsan City, in collaboration with the Ulsan Design-Driven Manufacturing Innovation Center, is conducting the recruitment event until May 3rd.
This project targets about 10 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies located in Ulsan, including those in materials and components, providing various support such as demand-tailored assistance, marketing, and design consulting for promotion.
Each company can receive up to 30 million KRW (based on demand-tailored support), and when carrying out design utilization support, design specialist companies as well as design, management, technology, and CMF (Color, Material, Finishing) consultants will also be recruited.
According to data released by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, about 77% of companies supported by the Design-Driven Manufacturing Innovation Support Project until last year experienced an increase in domestic sales, and 75% succeeded in commercialization or are about to launch products.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “We hope that SMEs and mid-sized companies, which mainly supply large corporations, will use this project to develop design-driven products, create high value-added products and new business models, and strengthen their corporate competitiveness.”
