The Anti-Corruption and Economic Crime Investigation Unit of Gwangju Police Agency announced on the 24th that two complaints related to Gwangju FC have been received, and suspects involved are being investigated.

The case in which Mr. A, who worked as the secretary general of Gwangju FC, filed a complaint against city hall employees for abuse of authority, claiming he was unfairly transferred, is currently in the final stages of investigation.

After CEO Nodong-il took office in November last year, Gwangju FC abolished the secretary general position and reorganized the structure into a two-headquarters system, transferring Mr. A to the Game Management Support Team.

Mr. A filed complaints against two public officials for abuse of authority, alleging they pressured him to resign, and also filed a petition with the Labor Commission. The Jeonnam Regional Labor Commission recently recognized Mr. A's relief application, stating that the transfer did not meet all the requirements set by the Labor Standards Act.

Gwangju City is currently reviewing a request for reconsideration with the Central Labor Commission.

Additionally, Mr. A reported that an employee dispatched for management improvement exercised approval authority on behalf of the absent CEO of Gwangju FC, and a police investigation into allegations of forgery of electronic records is currently underway.

A police official stated, "Even though the Jeonnam Regional Labor Commission recognized the relief application, the judgment on whether the matter constitutes abuse of authority may differ," "We plan to conclude the abuse of authority case soon after examining the legal aspects and continue investigating the electronic record forgery case."
