Jongno-gu Successfully Hosts Cultural Festival Honoring the Loyalty of Queen Jeongsoon

Jongno-gu (Mayor Jeong Munheon) held the 'Queen Jeongsoon Cultural Festival' on the 22nd at Sungin Neighborhood Park to honor the loyalty of Queen Jeongsoon, the consort of Danjong, the 6th king of the Joseon Dynasty.

The event, organized by the Jeonju Lee Clan Daedong Jongyakwon Association, featured memorial rites, royal court dance and poetry recitations, along with dyeing experiences and eco-friendly shampoo bar making activities that engaged participants of all ages, receiving enthusiastic responses.

Mayor Jeong Munheon stated, “It was a meaningful time to remember Queen Jeongsoon, one of Jongno’s historical figures, and to raise historical awareness among all of us living today.”

Geumcheon-gu Hosts Career Special Lecture by Seoul National University Professor Yoo Seongho, Famous Forensic Advisor on ‘Unanswered Questions’

Lecture Covers Forensic Career Paths and Unsolved Cases Solved Through Forensics

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seonghun) successfully held a career special lecture on the 21st by inviting Professor Yoo Seongho of Seoul National University, renowned as a forensic advisor for SBS’s ‘Unanswered Questions’.

Professor Yoo Seongho has appeared on SBS’s ‘Unanswered Questions’, ‘You Quiz on the Block’, and ‘Science Investigation Unit Smoking Gun’, establishing himself as the undisputed leader in the field of forensic science.

The lecture held at the Geumcheon-gu Office auditorium covered various topics including ▲Professor Yoo’s motivation for choosing forensic science ▲career paths for forensic scientists ▲stories of solving cases that were nearly unsolved through forensic science, continuing for two hours including a Q&A session. Over 140 students and parents participated.

After the lecture, Professor Yoo expressed his gratitude, saying, “I was amazed by the concentration of Geumcheon-gu residents who were fully engaged throughout the lecture. Thank you very much for listening to my story and welcoming me until late.”

Geumcheon-gu is preparing another celebrity guest lecture series in June. On June 10, a special lecture on college entrance titled ‘Secrets to Increasing Study Efficiency 100 Times’ by Professor Kim Kyungil of Ajou University is scheduled.

Mayor Yoo Seonghun of Geumcheon-gu said, “Through a series of diverse celebrity lectures, we will provide high-quality career and college entrance information to Geumcheon-gu youth and parents.”
