Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, will present the exhibition "Breath, Breathe," where tea meditation meets crafts, at the appraisal hall within the Korean Tea Culture Park during the "2023 Boseong World Tea Expo" from April 29 to May 7.
This exhibition, Breath, Breathe, was planned as a process of finding "rest" through "breath" in a harsh world where one cannot even take a proper breath, aiming to awaken the precious value of being fully oneself.

The tea meditation exhibition is a joint participation of four local artists active in Boseong (Hong Seong-il, Lee Hye-jin, Jeong Eun-sil, Cheon Won-jin) and the Jeju Chwidasun meditation team.
Artist Hong Seong-il expresses teapots and tea utensils infused with the vitality of the earth using soil from Jeju Island with a natural texture.
Artist Lee Hye-jin carves plants left at the threshold of winter into clay to tell stories.
Artist Jeong Eun-sil creates woven works using hemp thread and nettle, representing life and the endlessly repeating daily routine.
Artist Cheon Won-jin presents a tea table that sublimates the accumulated time endured by wood and the artist’s touch into art, reflecting the passage of life.
The participating artists in this exhibition show their ideas of "breath" and "rest" unadorned, using the purity of the materials themselves as a motif.
Artist Hong Seong-il stated, "I want to join the journey of finding oneself, not as a processed self reflected to others, but as a small yet purely shining self," explaining the purpose of the planning.
The Jeju Chwidasun tea meditation team, located in the eastern part of Jeju, guides the "journey inward" and will conduct meditation experiences twice daily, in the morning and afternoon, throughout the exhibition period.
The meditation experience is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis through DM applications on the Instagram account '@nosanclaystydio' and on-site registration.
A Boseong-gun official said, "Through the 2023 Boseong World Tea Expo, we are holding a tea meditation craft exhibition with local artists to find joy and health through the inherent gifts of tea and nature," adding, "This is a special experience different from existing ones, so we hope many will participate."
