Sejong Center for the Performing Arts unveiled the first lineup of the Sejong Contemporary Season ‘Think Next 23,’ which embraces artistic experimentation, challenge, and contemporaneity, on the 24th.
‘Think Next’ is a program that Sejong Center for the Performing Arts introduced last year with the goal of becoming a “world-class content production theater leading contemporary performing arts.” This year, it will run for a total of 67 days from July 6 to September 10 at the Sejong Center S Theater.
The first lineup of three teams was revealed first. DJ and producer 250 (Lee Ho-hyung, 41), who won four awards at this year’s 20th Korean Popular Music Awards including ‘Album of the Year,’ ‘Musician of the Year,’ ‘Best Electronic Album,’ and ‘Best Electronic Song’ for his album ‘Ppong,’ is featured. Known to the public as the producer of the group NewJeans, he will meet the audience with his first solo concert ‘Still Don’t You Know?’ on July 15.
Singer-songwriter Seo Samuel, who covers R&B, soul, and hip-hop, will present ‘Then Who Will Talk About Love?’ (July 28?30) together with sign language artist Jihutree. Singer-songwriter, film director, and novelist and essayist Lee Rang is preparing a concert with reading, music, performance, and poetry titled ‘Why Don’t I Say I’m Your Friend?’ (August 8) together with More (Mo Ji-min), a choreographer, drag artist, and actor.
The full lineup of ‘Think Next 23’ will be announced on May 3. Tickets will open on May 4. The program offers a package called ‘Synchronizer Package,’ which allows free selection of three out of 12 performances, and a subscription service called ‘New Black,’ which offers discounts of up to 40% on desired performances.
