Gwangju Dongbu Police Station, Special Prevention Education on Youth Drug Abuse and More

The Women and Youth Division of the Dongbu Police Station in Gwangju announced on the 24th that it conducted a 'Special Preventive Education on Youth Drug Abuse and New Types of Crime' for all students of Mudeung Middle School in the jurisdiction.

Reflecting the growing social anxiety due to incidents such as the Gangnam drug beverage case, the education covered response guidelines and reporting methods.

The program also raised awareness of the addictive and dependency effects of drugs, as well as the severity of their side effects and harms, to heighten vigilance against drug-related crimes.

A police official stated, "We will do our best to strengthen cooperation with related agencies to ensure a safe environment free from such crimes so that students can focus on their studies."
