Busan Dongnae Office of Education is conducting a special time for students to develop creativity and thinking skills by flying drones.
Dongnae Office of Education is operating the ‘Drone Flight Programming Class’ program for about 1,400 5th and 6th graders at 13 elementary schools until October 13.
This program aims to enhance students' creative problem-solving abilities and convergent thinking skills through drone coding and flight experiences. The program is conducted during regular class hours.
Students learn about the structure and flight principles of drones, drone application fields, and related regulations from two instructors with professional qualifications. They also experience flying drones they programmed themselves.
Lee Su-geum, Superintendent of Dongnae Office of Education, said, “This program will greatly help students develop the skills needed for future society,” and added, “Our Office of Education will continue to operate various educational programs to develop students' talents and capabilities.”
