Black Yak Launches Cooling 'Ice Layer' Series

Outdoor brand Black Yak announced on the 24th that it has launched the ‘Ice Layer’ series.

The Ice Layer series features cooling materials such as phase change materials, collagen, eucalyptus, and xylitol, allowing wearers to feel cool from the moment they put them on, enabling them to fully enjoy nature even in summer. Additionally, the series is characterized by deodorizing and antibacterial functions that reduce discomfort caused by sweat.

The flagship product is the ‘Ice Woven Round Tee.’ It uses phase change material (PCM) sublimation printing that absorbs heat upon skin contact, providing an immediate cooling effect when body temperature rises. The fabric has a textured surface with fine air holes, offering excellent breathability and preventing it from sticking to the body. Furthermore, a cooling neck band is applied to the area in contact with the neck, which absorbs moisture from sweat and quickly evaporates it, allowing for a refreshing feeling.

Made from eco-friendly materials by recycling domestic waste PET bottles, the product incorporates Polygiene’s deodorizing and antibacterial technology, enabling wearers to stay fresh without unpleasant odors or bacterial growth caused by sweat even after prolonged use. As a Wash Less item that reduces washing frequency due to odors, it naturally minimizes fabric damage and lessens environmental impact. There are also the ‘Ice Woven Polo Tee’ and ‘Ice Woven Anorak,’ which use the same fabric and functions but with different designs.

The ‘Katla Ice Tee’ is a women-only product. It features cooling and antibacterial yarns bonded with collagen amino acids, providing a silky soft touch while keeping the wearer cool and comfortable. The three-dimensional pattern ensures a comfortable fit, and the side seam cut line creates a slimming effect. Additionally, there are the ‘Bridi Button Polo Tee’ and ‘Bridi Zipper Polo Tee,’ which use Micro Tencel, an eco-friendly cooling material made from eucalyptus tree extracts, and the ‘Ice Eco Polo Tee,’ which applies ice-dipping processing with xylitol on recycled fabric made from domestic waste PET bottles.
