Hamyang-gun Hosts the 62nd Cheonnyeong Cultural Festival at the Millennium Forest Sangnim Park

Providing Various Attractions and Activities at Sangnim Park
The 62nd Cheollyeong Cultural Festival, a comprehensive cultural and arts festival representing Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, will be held for five days from May 5 to 9 at Sangnim Park, the Thousand-Year Forest.
The 62nd Cheollyeong Cultural Festival, under the theme "Dream of Cheollyeong, Fragrance of Sangnim," will kick off on the first day, May 5, with a splendid Seonbi Parade announcing the grand opening of the festival, along with a traditional rite, Children's Day events, poetry recitations, b-boy and magic performances, the opening ceremony, and celebratory performances featuring Jinseong, Han Hyejin, Song Dohyun, Bin Yeso, Choi Hyunsang, and others, marking the start of the five-day schedule.
On the 6th, events such as the National Sijo Singing Contest, Madanggeuk (traditional Korean courtyard play) performances, the 500th birth anniversary celebration of Gaam Kang Ikseon, a pungmul (traditional Korean percussion music) festival, Dabyeot Youth Wind Orchestra performance, and talent shows by various organizations will take place. On the 7th, the National Gugak Competition (traditional Korean music and instrumental music), classical guitar and acoustic guitar performances, Dabyeot Big Band performances with local singers, and singing class presentations will be held. On the 8th, acoustic guitar club performances and Hamyang family talent shows will be featured.
On the final day, the 9th, the festival will conclude with a Hamyangdeul Sori performance, followed by invited singer performances and the closing ceremony featuring Song Minjun, Muryong, Seo Jio, Han Bom, Granada, and others.
In addition to the scheduled programs, various exhibitions and experiential programs such as photo, art, and poetry exhibitions, a pop-up playground, Night Goblin Farm experience, free photo sessions, Cheollyeong food market, and booths selling agricultural specialties will welcome visitors.
A festival committee official stated, "The Cheollyeong Cultural Festival is Hamyang-gun’s representative comprehensive cultural and arts festival with a tradition spanning over 60 years," adding, "We hope to create a festival venue where cultural artists and residents can actively participate and unite, so that tourists can take home wonderful memories of Hamyang."
