According to the report, Montenegro prosecutors have sent Kwon and his associate Han Mo, among two others, to trial on charges of forging official documents. They also requested an extension of their detention period through an indictment submitted to the court.

Earlier, Kwon and others were apprehended on the 23rd of last month at Podgorica International Airport, the capital of Montenegro, while attempting to board a flight to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). At that time, local police confirmed that the Costa Rican passports used by CEO Kwon and others were forged and arrested them.

Subsequently, the Montenegro court set their detention period to a maximum of 30 days the following day.

Earlier foreign media reports stated that Kwon was indicted immediately after his arrest, but the local prosecutors corrected this by stating that he had not yet been indicted at that time.
