On the 20th at 1 PM, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk conducted the 2023 Gumi City Daycare Center Directors Training at the Saemaeul Theme Park Global Hall Multipurpose Room, attended by over 300 people including daycare center directors.
The training focused on practical matters such as the main revisions in the 2023 childcare business guide, overall daycare center operations and accounting, and mandatory reporting education for child abuse prevention. There was also a commemorative performance expressing hopes for attracting the Gyeongbuk Disaster Safety Experience Center to Gumi.
Park Kyungha, Director of the Social Welfare Bureau who attended the training, said, "I ask you to love the children as if they were your own and create a happy daycare center where children's laughter never ceases. We will continue to make efforts to improve staff treatment and strengthen support for daycare centers to establish a trustworthy childcare environment where parents can leave their children with peace of mind."
To create a safe childcare environment, Gumi City is conducting safety management education, including child abuse prevention training for daycare center staff by division, targeting over 2,800 childcare workers. The city also promotes monthly in-house child abuse prevention education at daycare centers and carries out on-site guidance and inspections for all daycare centers, concentrating administrative efforts to ensure a transparent childcare environment.
