The curtain rises on the ‘Triple Tiara’ series to select the best domestic 3-year-old filly.
The first stage of the series, the ‘4th Lunas Stakes’ Grade 1 race, will be held as the 6th race at LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam on the 23rd.
The series, limited to domestic 3-year-old fillies, will continue from the Lunas Stakes on the 23rd to the ‘Korean Oaks (G2)’ in June and the ‘Gyeonggi Governor’s Cup (G3)’ in July.
The total prize money for this race is 300 million KRW, with 12 horses competing?5 from Seoul and 7 from Busan.
A Korea Racing Authority official stated, “’Raon Giant’, ‘Jeulgeoun Yeojeong’, ‘Doctor Oscar’, ‘Wonderful Week’, and ‘Atlas’ are considered strong contenders for the win.”
He added, “Most of the participating horses have limited racing experience, with only 5 to 7 races, and have competed in middle to long distances only once or twice, so unexpected variables may arise.”
