Gyeongnam Nonghyup Revitalizes Local Economy Through Local Food Promotion

Gyeongnam Nonghyup held a local food producers' training and meeting on the 19th at the Gyeongnam Headquarters conference room, attended by about 60 local food suppliers.

The training focused on understanding local food shipments, the roles of farmers and Nonghyup, direct store operation principles, shipment processes and tips, and included sharing cases of excellent direct sales stores.

To increase farmers' income, participants agreed on creating successful local food by ensuring the shipment of fresh and safe agricultural products that satisfy customers.

Deputy Head Kang Moon-gyu said, “I hope the producers representing Gyeongnam local food take pride in the agricultural products they have carefully produced,” and added, “We will strive to increase sales through various marketing activities so that fresh and reasonably priced local agricultural products receive much love from consumers.”

He added, “We will do our best to revitalize local food that provides safe and good food to local residents and stable income to producers, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.”

The Gyeongnam Local Food Integrated Center, opened in 2019, plays roles such as promoting and selling excellent agricultural products from farms in various cities and counties of Gyeongnam, consulting Nonghyup branches wishing to open direct stores, and integrating training for shipping farmers.
