Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is holding a hometown love donation idea contest open to the entire nation to promote a fundraising culture that supports Nam-gu through donations from all over the country.
Nam-gu announced on the 20th that it will hold a hometown love donation idea contest until the 15th of next month to discover projects that can make better use of donation funds.
The contest categories are donation fund utilization projects, return gifts, and slogans.
Participants can freely submit ideas in each category based on content that can contribute to expanding hometown love donation fundraising and regional promotion.
For projects utilizing donation funds, the areas include support for vulnerable groups, youth protection and development, enhancement of culture, arts, and health for local residents, revitalization of the local community, and improvement of residents' welfare.
Return gifts should be proposals for items that reflect local characteristics and encourage the activation of donation culture, while the slogan category seeks phrases that can convey the meaningful intentions of donors.
Nam-gu plans to select a total of 21 winners, including one grand prize winner (300,000 KRW), one excellence prize winner (100,000 KRW), and five encouragement prize winners (10,000 KRW) per category.
The contest results will be individually notified to the winners and announced on the Nam-gu Office website on June 16. Those wishing to participate in the contest can submit the relevant documents via email, mail, or by visiting the Resident Autonomy Division of Nam-gu Office.
