Hana Bank is hosting an art contest for artists with developmental disabilities and exhibiting their works.

Hana Financial Group announced on the 20th that it held the awards ceremony for the contest "Hana Art Bus" at Hana Bank's headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the 43rd Disability Day.

Hana Art Bus is an art contest initiated by Hana Financial Group since last year to provide opportunities for artists with developmental disabilities to showcase their talents, exhibit their works, and improve social awareness about disabilities. This year, the eligibility was expanded to include children and adolescents, attracting 588 applicants nationwide.

After judging by the Hanyang University Art + Design Education Center, a total of 30 works were selected as final winners, including 3 grand prizes, 4 excellence awards, and 7 merit awards across the children, youth, and adult categories. The grand prize winners in each category are ▲ "I Want to Turn Back Time to 2:50!" (Adult category, artist Yoon Jin-seok) ▲ "Jirisan Cat" (Youth category, artist Jo Mi-so) ▲ "Endangered Animals and Me" (Children category, artist Yang Ye-jun). Among the adult category winners, four individuals will be offered internship opportunities at the social enterprise "Spring Shine." Some winning works will be reborn as limited edition cards through design collaboration with Hana Card.

The winning works can be viewed at various online and offline exhibition venues, including Hana Bank's Euljiro headquarters, the Seoul Museum of Art Archive in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, and the social enterprise Spring Shine's website, until July.

At the awards ceremony, Ham Young-joo, Chairman of Hana Financial Group, stated, "We plan to expand exhibition opportunities so that more people can be moved by the works of artists with developmental disabilities and also plan to launch cards using the designs of the winning works. We will continue to provide broad support to expand social participation of artists with disabilities."
