3-Year-Old Child Killed After Being Hit by Vehicle Carrying Seoul Gangbuk-gu Council Chairman

A 3-year-old child was fatally struck by a vehicle carrying Heo Gwang-haeng, the chairman of the Seoul Gangbuk District Council.

The Seoul Gangbuk Police Station announced on the 20th that at around 3:45 PM on the 19th, 3-year-old girl A, who was in a stroller, was hit by a passenger car in an alley near Mia Station on Subway Line 4 in Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu, and died.

Girl A was taken to the hospital immediately after the accident but passed away within 30 minutes. The grandmother who was with her sustained injuries to her face and thigh.

It is known that Chairman Heo was in the vehicle involved in the accident.

The police believe that drunk driving was not involved and plan to book the driver, Mr. B, on charges of violating the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling.
