Krafton to Start Early Access Test for 'Defense Derby' on the 27th

Rising Wings, an independent studio under Krafton, will begin the early access test for the real-time strategy defense mobile game ‘Defense Derby’ on the 27th.

‘Defense Derby’ is a tower defense genre game. Four players acquire cards through scouting each round, build a deck with the obtained cards, and must defend their castle from monsters until only one remains.

Defense Derby aims to enhance the game's completeness through this early access test. It will run from the 27th to May 11th, and players can download the game via Google Play to participate in the test.

This early access test introduces the step-by-step growth system called ‘Guardian’s Path.’ Players can receive various rewards based on their league progress. The card acquisition method has been changed from last year’s global pre-test version, and unit synthesis during battles is now possible, allowing for more strategic gameplay. During the test period, the event mode ‘Derby Brawl - Mirror Match’ will also be available. This mode lets all players compete with the same deck, enabling play without restrictions based on their own decks.

Kang Moon-cheol, Vice President of Rising Wings, said, “We decided to conduct the early access test to present a more complete game to users ahead of the official launch,” adding, “During the test period, we plan to introduce various fun aspects of Defense Derby through content with influencers and actively communicate with users.”
