"We will take the best photo of your life."

Starting from the 20th, Gyeongbuk Province will carry out a project to capture the happiest moments of the elderly in photos and create framed pictures through a 'Remind Wedding Photo' shoot. This is the 'Elderly Life's Best Photo' support project.

This project will be conducted for a total of 200 people in 4 cities and counties by the end of the year, beginning with the Sangju branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, with a budget of 20 million KRW.

The Remind Wedding Photo shoot involves makeup and styling by beauty professionals, along with wearing wedding dresses and tuxedos to create wedding photos. For most participants, who belong to the generation that had traditional weddings, this offers a more special memory.

The Elderly Life's Best Photo support project has been carried out annually for about 80 people from 2015 to 2022 by the Gyeongbuk Senior Citizens Center. It was implemented in cooperation with the volunteer group 'Best Photo Volunteer Group of My Life,' and due to the high satisfaction of the elderly, Gyeongbuk Province has expanded the project starting this year.

One elderly participant said, "It is my first time wearing makeup beautifully and putting on a dress," and added, "Because of the difficult times, I never had wedding photos, so I am happy to receive such a wonderful memory."

Kim Jin-hyun, Director of Welfare and Health Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, said, "I hope that the life’s best photo shoot will remain a beautiful and precious memory for the elderly," and added, "We will identify the diverse needs of the elderly and develop new policies to create a happy Gyeongbuk for the elderly."
