Samsung Electronics Launches Low-Noise Bespoke Induction... 29 Menu Items with 'ScanCook'

Low Noise Implementation through Fan Noise Minimization Design and High-Frequency Noise Technology

Samsung Electronics launched the 2023 model of the ‘Bespoke Induction’ on the 20th, featuring smart functions and a low-noise design to make cooking more convenient.

The new product minimizes fan noise, reducing noise levels by approximately 23% compared to previous models, allowing it to be used more quietly than a library. This is based on the principle of automatically controlling the frequency through inverter communication when noise occurs due to frequency differences between the left and right burners. The smart cook function, which enables easy and convenient cooking from simple meals to complex dishes, has also been further upgraded.

By scanning the barcode of meal kits or ready meals with the SmartThings app, the Bespoke Induction automatically sets the appropriate cooking values for the selected menu, enabling easy cooking. This feature can be applied to a total of 29 types of menus.

When you select and send the desired menu, the ‘Auto Customized Cooking’ function sets the optimal heat and time. Cast iron cooking has been added to this function, allowing complex dishes such as gamasotbap (rice cooked in a traditional iron pot), sogalbijjim (braised beef short ribs), tomato beef stew, and abalone porridge to be cooked deliciously through optimal algorithms.

The Bespoke Induction includes the ‘Quattro Flex Zone,’ which densely arranges four coils, and the ‘Dual Ring Large Burner,’ which features two coils that automatically operate according to the size of the cookware with a wide burner diameter of 28cm. It is advantageous in delivering heat directly without gaps even when using various cookware such as long rectangular grill pans, large frying pans, or hot pot pots. When using only one burner, it can cook quickly with powerful heat of up to 3400W (watts). The price ranges from 1.44 million to 1.84 million KRW based on the retail price.

Lee Junhwa, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Home Appliance Business Division, said, "The new product will significantly enhance consumers’ cooking experience by applying differentiated burners, smart cook functions, and low-noise technology.”
