Safety and Health Agency and Four Other Ulsan Institutions Establish Cooperation System

Ulsan City and public institutions will establish a cooperative system to strengthen cybersecurity.


On the 20th at 11 a.m., Ulsan City announced that it will sign a business agreement to enhance cybersecurity with five public institutions in the Ulsan area at the multipurpose hall on the 2nd floor of the Ulsan Port Authority.


The agreement, involving public institutions such as Ulsan Port Authority, Ulsan East-West Power, Human Resources Development Service of Korea, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and Korea Energy Agency, will be held with the attendance of about 20 information security officers from each institution.


This agreement was prepared to jointly respond to cyber threats and intrusion incidents targeting public institutions. The main contents include △ joint inspections and vulnerability diagnosis improvements for information security △ strengthening the expertise of information security officers △ establishing a cooperative system for personal information protection △ activities for exchanging information related to information security.


Through this agreement, each institution plans to promote various activities to strengthen their cybersecurity systems.


An official from Ulsan City said, “With the advancement of information and communication technology, hacking techniques have also become more sophisticated, making cyber threat response more important than ever,” adding, “We expect that the cybersecurity level of each institution will be further enhanced through this agreement.”
