"Kim Yong-ho Earns 340 Million Won While Insulting Park Soo-hong," Kim Da-ye Expresses Anger

Kim Da-ye, the wife of broadcaster Park Soo-hong, claimed that YouTuber Kim Yong-ho is making money by using Park Soo-hong and herself, and alleged that he earned approximately 340 million KRW through spreading false information and defamation.

On the 19th, Kim Da-ye posted a video titled "The Huge Money Kim Yong-ho Made by Using Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye!" on the YouTube channel 'No Jong-eon Kim Da-ye Real News,' which she runs with lawyer No Jong-eon.

In the video, Kim Da-ye stated, "The main reason Kim Yong-ho defamed us with false information was money," and estimated and disclosed the amount of money Kim Yong-ho earned through false defamation.

Kim Da-ye claimed, "Kim Yong-ho’s channel views range from 1 million to 3 million," and added, "Based on an average of 2 million views per broadcast, each broadcast generates about 4.4 million KRW in advertising revenue."

She also said, "Kim Yong-ho’s channel receives a lot of 'Super Chat' donations, which is YouTube’s live support feature, so the Super Chat revenue is enormous," and "The more sensational the content, the more Super Chats pour in." She concluded, "Adding YouTube view revenue and Super Chat revenue, Kim Yong-ho’s earnings amount to approximately 342 million KRW."

Meanwhile, Park Soo-hong appeared again as a witness in the trial of his older brother and sister-in-law, who are accused of embezzling his assets, and requested that the trial proceedings be held privately, but the court denied the request.

The Seoul Western District Court Criminal Division 11 (Chief Judge Bae Sung-joong) held the 5th hearing on the case involving Park Mo (55) and his wife, who are charged with violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), on the 19th at 2:30 PM. Park Soo-hong appeared as a witness again following the 4th hearing on the 15th of last month.

Park Soo-hong’s side submitted a written request for a closed hearing to the court on the 14th. Legal representative lawyer No Jong-eon explained, "This was requested to protect the victim, considering the risk of false defamation and personal attacks unrelated to the embezzlement issues raised by the defendant’s side during the first witness examination."

However, the court stated, "It is difficult to recognize this as an exceptional case warranting a closed hearing," and denied the request. The court added, "Please refrain from questioning the witness about matters unrelated to the crime or personal life. If such content arises, the questioning may be restricted."

Previously, during the trial, Park Soo-hong had a heated exchange after reviewing evidence submitted by the older brother’s lawyer. The evidence included personal information about Park Soo-hong, and when the name of a former girlfriend appeared, he raised his voice, saying, "She broke up with me because he (older brother) opposed it. It’s despicable. It seems intended to shake me up regardless of the essence of the charges."
