Busan Port Authority Launches Environmental Improvement Campaign with Users

Busan Port Authority (BPA) conducted an environmental improvement campaign on the 19th around the entire Gamcheon Port wharf area together with port users.

BPA, along with the Busan Port Facility Management Center, the stevedores' union, and cargo handling companies, collected unauthorized waste and other cleanliness-deteriorating elements within Gamcheon Port. They also plan to conduct such campaigns regularly to raise port users' awareness of cleanliness and to lead the maintenance of a clean and safe port environment.

Employees of Busan Port Authority (BPA), stevedoring companies, labor unions, and other port users are collecting trash together and taking a group commemorative photo.

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, “Since Gamcheon Port handles a large volume of general cargo, it generates more waste and garbage compared to other ports,” and added, “We will make great efforts to create a clean Gamcheon Port through environmental improvement campaigns and other initiatives.”
