Special Exhibition at Nature Ecology Park from 21st to 23rd
Featuring 50 Pieces of 7 Species Including Geumsaewooran and Hallasaewooran
The special exhibition of Saeuran (蘭), the fairy of spring with fragrance, will be held in Hampyeong-gun.
According to the county on the 19th, the "2023 Saeuran (蘭) Special Exhibition" will be held from the 21st to the 23rd at the Hampyeong Natural Ecology Park Special Exhibition Hall.
This exhibition was prepared to promote the excellence of Korea's native orchids and the importance of preserving the endangered plant Saeuran.
Saeuran is an orchid named for its roots that resemble a shrimp's back due to their bead-like segments, and its name originates from the Greek word meaning "beautiful flower."
Its main habitat in Korea is the southwestern coastal island regions. Although it is an oriental orchid, it is characterized by flowers that are as splendid and fragrant as those of western orchids.
At this exhibition, 50 pieces of 7 varieties, including the golden Saeuran and Hallasan Saeuran, which have brilliant colors and elegant fragrance, will be displayed.
