Dozens of Patients, Medical Staff, and Bathhouse Visitors Evacuated

At around 2:40 PM on the 19th, a fire broke out in the bathhouse located in the basement of a nursing hospital in Hwasun-eup, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do.


The fire caused smoke to rise, prompting dozens of nursing hospital patients, medical staff, and bathhouse users to evacuate.

Firefighters are checking to see if anyone remains who has not evacuated.


The fire authorities issued a Level 2 response at around 3:05 PM that day.


The fire authorities also plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire once the search for people and fire suppression are completed.
