A man in his 20s at Samsung Electro-Mechanics' Suwon plant jumped from the 4th floor of a building.


On the 19th, the Suwon Nambu Police Station and Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced that around 3:30 PM the previous day, employee A (23) fell from a building at Samsung Electro-Mechanics' plant in Maetan-dong, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon City, sustaining serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

A Samsung Electro-Mechanics official said, "Fortunately, his life is not in danger," and added, "Since the employee still needs to rest, the exact circumstances of the accident will be investigated later."


It is known that Mr. A attempted an extreme act due to personal reasons. Although some have pointed to workplace bullying as the cause, the company denied this, stating, "That is not true."
