The Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office will conduct a focused safety inspection and environmental cleanup activities on a 31km section of the Seomjingang River upstream bicycle path on the 20th.
About 50 employees of the Yeongsangang Office will be divided into cycling and walking teams, starting from Saseok-ri, Daegang-myeon, Namwon City, and will inspect the condition of the pavement and drainage facilities of the bicycle path along the route passing through Hyangga Amusement Park and Chaegyesan in Sunchang to the Yonggwolsan section in Imsil.
The walking team will carry out environmental cleanup activities in key sections while promptly repairing any issues identified during the inspection.
Director Jeong Seonhwa stated, “We will conduct year-round inspections of safety hazards on the Seomjingang bicycle path to ensure that visitors and nearby residents experience no inconvenience and provide a safe commuting environment.”
