National Police Agency, Agreement on Technology Transfer for 'Improvised Incendiary Device Disposal Equipment' Job-Invented Technology

The National Police Agency announced on the 19th that it held a signing ceremony for the transfer of job-related invention technologies, including improvised explosive device disposal equipment.

This technology transfer signing ceremony was conducted for ideas discovered by field officers, including award-winning works from the National Safety Invention Challenge.

The improvised explosive device disposal equipment is a technology for manufacturing devices that neutralize explosives quickly and safely by releasing high-pressure water. The multipurpose crusher is a device with the upper part of a hammer-shaped rod made in a diamond pattern, enabling rapid crushing of doors or windows in emergency situations. The variable safety blind is a detachable device with adjustable width to easily and quickly separate spaces.

Park Seong-ju, Director of the Future Security Policy Bureau at the National Police Agency, said, "We will encourage job-related inventions by field officers and transfer these technologies to private companies to lay the foundation for continuous growth of the security industry."

Ryu Yeon-su, head of the Science Security Industry Team at the National Police Agency, stated, "If the improvised explosive device disposal equipment is produced by domestic companies, it is expected to replace expensive foreign products," and added, "The variable safety blind is expected to be used to protect vehicle drivers."
