Participating artist Yang Eun-hye is a painter and illustrator who focuses on the small stories encountered in the lives of the MZ generation living in contemporary times as the main theme of her work.

Contrasting with the colorful and lively hues and the comical atmosphere, the indifferent faces of the characters reveal a sense of lethargy.

The expressionless faces embody the uncertain future of the younger generation who must intricately contemplate issues of self-esteem as individuals and independence within society in pursuit of a happy life, as well as the emptiness of lost passion in the face of the world's absurdities. However, the characters create a humorous atmosphere in various situations while hiding their complex inner feelings.

This exhibition offers children an enjoyable artistic experience reminiscent of a scene from a comic, and for adults, it evokes a wry smile and deep empathy through unique scenes and witty titles that confront the bittersweet (funny yet sad) realities, providing an opportunity for people of all ages to embark on an artistic picnic.

During the exhibition period, related educational programs such as the drawing experience "Picnic to the Paper Forest" and exhibition tours (docent on site) will be available. Visitors who wish to feel closer to contemporary art are encouraged to join the professional guided tours.

The exhibition is open free of charge from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and is closed every Monday.

For more details, inquiries can be made by phone to the exhibition department of the Gumi Culture and Arts Center or by checking the website.
