Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Joint Fire Drill at Resource Circulation Facility

Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station announced on the 19th that it conducted a joint fire drill targeting the local resource recycling facility (Samwon Comprehensive Trading).

This drill was carried out using 36 firefighting personnel, 14 self-defense firefighting team members, and 8 vehicles, focusing on early suppression through a top-down approach by concentrating firefighting forces in the initial stage of the fire and utilizing heavy equipment (backhoe).

Shin Saeng-gyun, Head of the 119 Disaster Response Division, stated, “Waste treatment facilities require significant firefighting resources and take a long time to extinguish fires, so fire prevention and initial response capabilities are crucial.” He added, “We will continue to conduct safety education and organic training with related organizations.”
