The ‘Remake Sound Source and Video Support Project’ is a linked project resulting from a multilateral business agreement signed in March between Busan City, Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, and CJ ENM to nurture creative talent in the Busan area and revitalize the content industry.

▲CJ Offen Music composers will rearrange classic hits from the 70s and 80s ▲Three local musician teams and Korea’s representative singer ‘Choi Baek-ho’ will collaborate to produce and release live collaboration videos and sound sources.

Any musician from Busan can apply. There are no restrictions on ‘participation type’ such as solo or band, nor on ‘music genre.’ Applicants must submit an application form including performance videos of at least two songs by 2 p.m. on May 4th via email.

Selected musicians will receive a creative support fund of 1.5 million KRW.

Kim Ki-hwan, Director of the Culture and Sports Bureau of Busan City, said, “We hope this will be an opportunity for emerging Busan musicians to grow one step further through remake projects with large corporations and famous artists.” He added, “Busan City will continue to support the practical growth of indie musicians through various musician support projects.”

The ‘Album Production Promotion Support Project,’ jointly promoted by the city and Busan Music Creation Center, will also accept applications from April 19th to May 10th. A total of seven teams selected through the competition will receive full support for the entire process, from sound recording to music video production and showcase events, as well as follow-up activities.
