Dongseo Foods announced on the 19th that it held the awards ceremony for the 24th Maxim Coffee Cup Ipshin Strongest Tournament at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. The champion, 9-dan Shin Jinseo, received the championship trophy along with a prize of 50 million won.

9-dan Shin Jinseo achieved his second victory with overwhelming performance, following his first win in the 2019 tournament. 9-dan Lee Won-young, who finished as runner-up in his first appearance in the tournament, also received a trophy and a prize of 20 million won.
The tournament, which lasted about five months starting with the December draw ceremony, attracted much attention even before its opening, with top domestic professional Go players participating, including the previous champion 9-dan Park Jeong-hwan.
Choi Sang-in, Executive Director of Dongseo Foods, said, “This tournament lived up to its title as the ‘Tournament of the Masters’ with many high-level and memorable matches,” adding, “As a partner of the Maxim Coffee Cup Ipshin Strongest Tournament, we will strive to contribute to the popularization and development of Go culture in Korea and fulfill our social responsibilities through various cultural sharing activities.”
