Shinsegae Department Store in Dong-gu, Daegu City, will exclusively exhibit Swiss-made luxury watches from the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand, including the Stella Odyssey timepieces, valued at approximately 4 billion KRW, from the 20th to the 30th.
The models on display during this period include over 10 types such as the ‘Reverso Hybris Mechanica Caliber 185’ watch, priced at around 2.3 billion KRW, as well as the ‘Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon C?leste’ and the ‘Rendez-Vous Star’, each exceeding 100 million KRW.
Some models will be open to the public only during this period and will return to the brand’s museum afterward, providing a great opportunity for customers interested in high-end timepieces to admire these luxury watches.
Among the watches showcased this time, the ‘Reverso Hybris Mechanica Caliber 185’, the most intricate model in history featuring four dials that offer an accurate understanding of the cosmos, is equipped with 11 complications including the unprecedented incorporation of lunar cycle, nodal cycle, and perigee cycle indicators in a wristwatch, making it a masterpiece of art and mechanics beyond a simple watch.
The ‘Rendez-Vous Star’, also on display, was inspired by the unpredictable and romantic celestial phenomenon of shooting stars. It is equipped with the Caliber 734, conceived and developed by the manufacture, which reproduces the unpredictable appearance of shooting stars 4 to 6 times per hour.
Kim Mira, the manager at Daegu Shinsegae who prepared this exhibition, said, “Although the timepieces with somewhat unfamiliar model names might be new to some, we prepared this exhibition with the plan to exclusively present works that are difficult to encounter in Korea to the citizens of Daegu,” conveying the significance of this event.
Customers who purchase watches during the exhibition period will also be eligible for a gift certificate promotion.
