The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 18th that it held a symposium commemorating the 7th anniversary of the institute's opening at the ICC Hotel in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon.

원본보기 아이콘Under the theme "The Next 50 Years of Forest Welfare for National Happiness," the symposium was organized to explore the future role of forest welfare and to boost the pride of the institute's executives and staff.
The event was attended by Jang Tae-pyeong, Chairman of the Special Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Areas; Nam Sung-hyun, Administrator of the Korea Forest Service; and Lee Jang-woo, Mayor of Daejeon, among others.
The Korea Forest Welfare Institute conducted the symposium in three parts. The first part featured congratulatory videos from the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Chairperson of the Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans and Fisheries Committee, followed by the proclamation ceremony of the institute's new management strategy vision.
The second part included a keynote lecture by Professor Hong Seok-cheol of Seoul National University's Department of Economics titled "Low Birthrate, Aging Society! The Current Status and Future of the Republic of Korea," along with a panel discussion by experts in the field of forest welfare. The third part involved sharing of internal best practices within the institute, discussions among key stakeholders, and the "Innovation Contest for the Institute Selected Directly by Us."
Nam Tae-heon, President of the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, said, "We prepared this event for a new leap forward in the next 50 years of forest welfare," adding, "The Korea Forest Welfare Institute will do its best to fulfill its role as a forest welfare platform connecting forests and people."
