J-Hope of the group BTS will enlist in the military on the 18th. He is the second BTS member to do so, following Jin in December last year.
According to the music industry, J-Hope is scheduled to enter a new recruit training center of an army division in Gangwon Province on that day. It has been four months since a BTS member enlisted, following the eldest member Jin in December last year.
Late the night before, J-Hope posted a photo on the fan community service Weverse showing his short haircut and a salute, along with the message, "I love you. ARMY (BTS fans), I will come back well."
Earlier, on the 1st, Big Hit Music announced through the fan community Weverse, "J-Hope is scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier in the army to fulfill his military service obligation," adding, "There will be no separate official event on the day of his enlistment at the recruit training center."
On the 14th, J-Hope comforted fans through a Weverse Live broadcast, saying, "I will come back well, so please don’t worry too much."
He said, "A week ago, I felt 'What should I do?' but now I feel okay to the point of 'Is this really okay?'" and added, "Time really flies. I will do well and come back."
Meanwhile, Jin, who enlisted on December 13 last year, is currently serving as a drill instructor at the recruit training center and was promoted to private first class last month.
