Sampyo Industry announced on the 18th that the sales performance of its customized special concrete products in the first quarter significantly increased compared to last year.
'Bluecon Winter,' a cold-resistant concrete developed by Sampyo Industry, is a winter concrete that can be poured even at minus 10℃. It achieves a compressive strength of 5 megapascals (MPa) within 48 hours of pouring. 1 MPa is the strength capable of withstanding a load of 10 kg per square centimeter of concrete.
In winter construction sites, workers burn lignite to accelerate concrete curing, but the toxic gases generated pose a risk of suffocation accidents. Thanks to the advantage of preventing such accidents when using Bluecon Winter, sales volume in the first quarter of this year increased by 116% compared to the same period last year, and sales revenue rose by 142% to 6.1 billion KRW.
The high-performance special concrete for floors, 'Bluecon Floor,' solves problems such as concrete cracking and curling (edge lifting phenomenon). Its sales volume in the first quarter increased by 345% compared to the same period last year, and sales revenue surged by 645% to 2.3 billion KRW.
The strong performance of 'Bluecon Speed,' a rapid-hardening concrete, is also notable. During winter construction periods, using general concrete takes about 8 to 9 days, but Bluecon Speed shortens the construction period to about 7 days compared to general products. The supply performance in the first quarter increased by 319% compared to the same period last year.
Sampyo Industry plans to continuously identify on-site difficulties and needs, focusing on quality improvement and safety enhancement. The strategy is to secure competitiveness based on eco-friendly technology. Yoon In-gon, CEO of Sampyo Industry, stated, "We will continue to do our best to develop technologies for improving housing quality and ensuring the residential stability of the public."
