AmorePacific Group Donates 100 Million Won for Gangneung Wildfire Damage Recovery

Amorepacific Group announced on the 18th that it will donate 100 million KRW to aid the recovery of the wildfire-affected areas in Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do.

The donation will be delivered to the Community Chest of Korea and used for the restoration of the affected areas around Gangneung and support for disaster victims. Approximately 30 million KRW worth of daily necessities will also be provided as emergency relief supplies.


Lee Sang-mok, CEO of Amorepacific Group, expressed, “We extend our deepest condolences to the residents of Gangneung who suffered from the large-scale wildfire,” and added, “We hope this will help with the recovery of the affected sites and the restoration of the daily lives of the disaster victims.”


Amorepacific Group has actively supported domestic and international disaster relief efforts by donating funds during various crises, including the 2017 Pohang earthquake, the 2018 Indonesia earthquake, the 2019 Gangwon-do wildfire, the 2020 Australian wildfires, the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 heavy rains, last year’s Uljin and Samcheok wildfires and heavy rains, and this year’s T?rkiye earthquake.
