Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will install a total of 4.4 km of water pipelines to ensure a stable supply of drinking water in areas without water service.

The water pipelines will be installed in 13 locations, including Pyeongchang-ri, Jeil-ri, and Namgok-ri in Yangji-myeon, Cheoin-gu; Bakgok-ri in Baegam-myeon; Galdam-ri and Maesan-ri in Mohyeon-eup; Duchang-ri, Saam-ri, and Jukneung-ri in Wonsam-myeon; Jeongung-ri in Namsa-eup; Cheon-ri in Idong-eup; Yuwun-ri in Pogok-eup; and Hagal-dong in Giheung-gu.

This project will provide tap water to 95 households. Most of these areas are rural or on the urban-rural boundary, where residents have experienced inconvenience by relying on village water systems and groundwater for drinking and daily use.

Yongin City will invest a total of 2.2 billion KRW for this project and complete the installation of the distribution pipelines by the end of December.

A city official stated, "We decided to install water pipelines to ensure residents can use tap water stably without concerns about water shortages caused by groundwater depletion," and emphasized, "We will continue to expand water pipelines to improve convenience for residents in areas without water service."
