Dongmyeong University, Occupational Therapist Oath Ceremony and Promotion Week Proclamation

The Department of Occupational Therapy at Dongmyung University held the 1st Occupational Therapist Oath Ceremony and OT Pride Week Proclamation Ceremony on the 14th.


The event was conducted to cultivate the basic competencies and character of students who will work as occupational therapy professionals and to instill sound professional ethics as healthcare workers.


The ceremony included the presentation of occupational therapist gowns, the oath-taking ceremony for the code of ethics, and the OT Pride Week proclamation. Afterwards, Kim Ji-yoon, Chairperson of the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam branch of the Korean Association of Occupational Therapists, gave a special lecture explaining the role of the association.

Professor Jo Mi-rim, head of the Department of Occupational Therapy, expressed her expectations, saying, “On April 20th, Disability Day, through the OT Pride Week event, a promotional week for occupational therapy involving occupational therapy departments nationwide, and the occupational therapist oath ceremony, we aim to establish the occupational therapy mindset and enhance pride.”


The Department of Occupational Therapy at Dongmyung University is realizing ‘Student Success Practice Education’ through the operation of a systematic curriculum and a practical training environment equipped with the latest facilities.
