Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) held a pledge project progress report meeting on the 17th to review the progress of the campaign promises made to the residents during the 8th local government administration.
Kim San, the governor of Muan County, is urging all employees to unite their capabilities to fulfill promises made to the residents during the first quarter pledge progress report meeting.

According to the county, this report meeting was held to review the first quarter performance of 2023, with 26 heads of departments related to the pledges attending. They reported on the progress of 100 pledge projects across 7 major sectors, discussed future plans, and addressed issues and countermeasures encountered during the implementation process.
As a result of the pledge project progress review, 14 pledge projects including △expansion of the pledge implementation evaluation team △payment of 200,000 KRW COVID-19 support funds to all residents △support for university entrance congratulatory funds △support for village senior centers’ food expenses were completed ahead of schedule, and the average implementation rate was 35.2%, indicating steady progress.
Governor Kim San said, “Establish close cooperation systems with central government ministries and related organizations to secure budgets and prepare various solutions for pledge implementation,” and urged, “Gather the capabilities of all staff to realize the promises made to residents through substantial pledge implementation that aligns with the original intent of the pledges.”
Kang Geon-seon, Director of Planning, stated, “Through this report meeting, we will internally review and collect opinions on pledge projects that revealed some issues during the implementation process, and find alternatives such as discovering substitute pledges that can preserve the original purpose of the pledge projects.”
Meanwhile, the county plans to hold a regular meeting of the 8th local government pledge implementation evaluation team in June to review and evaluate the progress of implementation. To enhance the execution power of pledge projects, quarterly pledge progress report meetings will be held to check performance and seek solutions.
