Gwangju Tourism Association Employee Accused of Sexual Harassment of Woman in Her 20s

An employee of the Gwangju Tourism Association has been reported to the police for sexually harassing a woman he met through work, prompting an investigation.

The Gwangju Dongbu Police Station announced on the 17th that Mr. A has been booked on charges of sexual harassment and is under investigation.

Mr. A is accused of inappropriate physical contact with a woman in her 20s whom he recently met through work.

He reportedly denies the charges, claiming that he only patted her hand during work-related matters and had no improper intentions.

Meanwhile, Mr. A was also referred to the prosecution last month on charges of misappropriating funds from a privately commissioned project.

While carrying out nine commissioned projects for the association, he is suspected of embezzling 500 million won of project funds by transferring the money to his personal account or fabricating fake transaction records, using the money for association operating expenses and other purposes.
