A man in his 50s arrested for drug use and possession at a motel in Changwon

A man in his 50s was arrested for using drugs at a motel in Changwon, Gyeongnam.

According to Changwon Jungbu Police Station on the 17th, the man, identified as Mr. A, is accused of using 0.03g of methamphetamine and possessing 0.09g at a motel in Myeongseo-dong, Uichang-gu, around 4 a.m. on the 11th.

It was investigated that Mr. A received the drugs, which he purchased through social networking services (SNS), at the restroom of Changwon Intercity Bus Terminal in Palyong-dong, Uichang-gu, around March.

The drug supplier is understood to have used a so-called 'throwing method,' hiding the drugs at a specific location and leaving them there.

While investigating drug offenders, the police became aware of Mr. A's crime and on the afternoon of the 12th, they took Mr. A, who was in Sangnam-dong, Seongsan-gu, to the police station for a voluntary drug test.

Mr. A tested positive and was urgently arrested, with an arrest warrant issued.

The police plan to investigate whether Mr. A has any additional offenses while continuing their investigation into the drug supplier.
