Governor Kim Dong-yeon Receives Top Grade in Pledge Category for Two Consecutive Years...Only One Among Nationwide Local Leaders

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon was selected as the local government head who created the best pledge implementation plan by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.

Last year, Governor Kim also received the top award in the election pledge category of the 'Manifesto Promise Award.' He is the only local government head to receive the highest evaluation related to pledges for two consecutive years.

According to the evaluation results of the pledge implementation plans of the nationwide mayors and governors of the 8th local government term announced by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters on the 17th, Governor Kim received the highest grade, SA.

The Korea Manifesto Evaluation Team evaluated the pledge implementation plans of 17 local government heads nationwide from January, assessing 35 detailed indicators in four areas: preparedness, democracy, transparency, and pledge consistency. The evaluation results were classified into five grades from SA to D. Along with Governor Kim, six metropolitan local government heads, including Seoul, Chungnam, Jeonnam, Gyeongnam, and Gyeongbuk, received the SA grade.

Gyeonggi Province's pledge implementation plan for the 8th local government term includes 295 pledges across 9 major fields under 3 visions (More Opportunities, Fairer Opportunities, Better Opportunities).

The Manifesto Evaluation Team highly praised Governor Kim's pledges for being composed of practical tasks that provide real benefits to the residents.

In particular, the pledge composition was stable and systematic, and the completeness of pledge management, resident participation channels, and homepage content was high, earning good scores in accessibility and democracy.

Regarding the evaluation results, Governor Kim emphasized, "Pledges are promises to the residents, and fulfilling them is the responsibility and duty of public officials. Since the pledges of the 8th local government term received good evaluations, I will do my best to create a Gyeonggi Province full of opportunities for everyone by communicating with the residents based on the three visions."
