Baek Jong-won's The Born Korea is on the verge of surpassing 300 billion KRW in annual sales due to strong performance last year.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 17th, The Born Korea's consolidated sales last year amounted to 282.177 billion KRW, a 45.34% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
Operating profit increased by 32.28% to 25.76 billion KRW, and net profit rose by 37.03% to 15.96 billion KRW. The operating profit margin was 9.13%, down 0.9 percentage points from 10.03% the previous year.
Founded by CEO Baek on January 12, 1994, The Born Korea is a global dining company owning 25 brands including Hanshin Pocha, Hong Kong Banjeom 0410, Paik's Coffee, and Saemaeul Sikdang. CEO Baek, who is an entrepreneur, culinary researcher, broadcaster, and YouTuber, holds a 76.69% stake, making him the largest shareholder.
