Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk Province held a meeting to seek mutual development through exchange and cooperation in the agricultural sector with Cambodia.
On the 14th, Sok Silo, Vice Minister of the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, visited Imsil-gun, and on the 17th, the county announced that they explored ways to exchange and cooperate in the agricultural sector between Imsil-gun and Cambodia.

On that day, Vice Minister Sok Silo began his schedule with a meeting with County Governor Shim Min.
Through the meeting, they shared and understood the agricultural policies of both Korea and Cambodia and discussed ways to cooperate in the agricultural sector.
Following this, they visited major local tourist attractions and the Imsil Cheese Sausage factory to learn about the county’s tourism and industry overall.
Governor Shim Min, together with Vice Minister Sok Silo, visited the Imsil Cheese Theme Park and introduced the main facilities of the Cheese Theme Park.
In particular, Vice Minister Sok Silo showed great interest in the ‘Food Integrated Support Center’ and the ‘Imsil Cheese History and Culture Hall,’ which opened on the 13th.
Afterwards, Vice Minister Sok Silo and Governor Shim visited Okjeongho Lake.
Okjeongho Lake, a treasure of Jeollabuk-do, is one of the county’s representative attractions, with a suspension bridge connecting Okjeongho and Bungeo Island officially opened in March, attracting many tourists nationwide.
Vice Minister Sok Silo explored the suspension bridge and the ecological park area and listened to the current status of eco-friendly ecotourism development at Okjeongho Lake.
Vice Minister Sok Silo said, “This visit was meaningful as I was able to learn about the county’s agriculture, tourism, and industry overall,” and added, “I hope that Imsil-gun and Cambodia will promote exchange and cooperation not only in agriculture but also in various fields for mutual development.”
Governor Shim Min said, “Taking Vice Minister Sok Silo’s visit as an opportunity, we will continue exchanges and cooperation to maintain friendly relations between Imsil-gun and Cambodia and will spare no support for joint development.”
