Daegu Bank Launches Sports Savings Account with Annual 4% Interest... All Subscribers Receive Home Game Discount Vouchers

DGB Daegu Bank announced on the 17th that it will launch a savings product with an annual interest rate of up to 4.35% and hold an event called “Time to Support Pro Sports and Conquer Rare Items” featuring various prize draws to wish for the success of local professional sports teams in the 2023 season and to support cultural activities through sports leisure for local residents.


This event is held in conjunction with the launch of the “Special DGB Home Run Savings” and “Special DGB Daepak Savings” products, offering special prize draws for customers who subscribe to the products and providing game tickets to event participants.

The “Special DGB Home Run Savings” and “Special DGB Daepak Savings,” which any individual customer can join, will be sold for a limited time from the 17th to June 16th. Customers can subscribe for a one-year term with monthly deposits ranging from 100,000 KRW to 500,000 KRW (one account per person) at all DGB Daegu Bank branches, iM Bank, and the mobile web.


The base interest rate for both products is 4.00% per annum, with preferential interest rates applied depending on the 2023 season performance of the Samsung Lions and Daegu FC, resulting in a maximum annual interest rate of 4.35%. For the “Special DGB Home Run Savings,” preferential interest rates of 0.10% per annum each will be applied upon maturity if the Samsung Lions advance to the postseason, win the regular season, or win the Korean Series, for a maximum preferential interest rate of 0.30% per annum.


For the “Special DGB Daepak Savings,” preferential interest rates of 0.10% per annum each will be applied upon maturity if Daegu FC finishes between 1st and 6th place in the K League 1, wins the K League 1, or secures qualification for the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League (ACL) group stage, for a maximum preferential interest rate of 0.30% per annum.


All customers who subscribe to either product will receive a 100% home game discount coupon (a 10% discount coupon for the “Special DGB Home Run Savings” and up to a 10,000 KRW discount coupon for the “Special DGB Daepak Savings”), and special prizes will be awarded to subscribers through a draw.


Among customers who subscribe to the “Special DGB Daepak Savings,” signed soccer cleats worn by Daegu FC players (including Lee Geun-ho, Hong Chul, Kim Kang-san, etc.) and goalkeeper gloves worn by Oh Seung-hoon will be provided through a lottery. For customers who subscribe to the “Special DGB Home Run Savings,” two tickets to the premium suite box at Lions Park will be awarded through a draw.


Even customers who do not subscribe to the products can participate in the cheering event by accessing the “Time to Support Pro Sports and Conquer Rare Items” event page on the iM Bank app. Through a draw, 200 customers will be given two tickets each to Daegu FC and Samsung Lions home games.
