2-Year-Old Girl Falls to Death from Emergency Stair Railing on 4th Floor of Hotel

A 2-year-old child fell from the railing of an emergency staircase at a hotel and died.

According to the police and fire authorities on the 17th, around 1:49 PM on the 16th, a two-year-old girl fell from the railing of the emergency staircase at a hotel banquet hall in Suseong-gu, Daegu, down to the basement level 1. The fallen girl was in cardiac arrest and was transported to a nearby hospital by the 119 emergency medical team but ultimately passed away.

Police investigation revealed that the child fell from the emergency staircase railing on the 4th floor of the hotel banquet hall down to the basement level 1. The building also houses a large children's play facility, and the emergency staircase is frequently used by many people.
