Expansion of 6 Ultra-Fast Electric Vehicle Chargers at Incheon Unseo Station Public Parking Lot

On the 17th, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced that six ultra-fast electric vehicle chargers capable of charging up to 260 kW have been put into operation at the Unseo Station public parking lot.

This was carried out in accordance with the memorandum of understanding for the establishment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure signed in 2019 between the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and Hyundai Motor Group. Construction began in June last year and was recently completed.

The ultra-fast electric vehicle chargers can charge a Hyundai Ioniq 5 from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes.

As a result, a total of 116 electric vehicle chargers are in operation at the Unseo Station public parking lot, including six Hyundai Motor Group E-pit ultra-fast chargers, 100 outlet-type chargers, and two rapid and eight slow chargers installed independently.

An official from the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority stated, "With the operation of these ultra-fast electric vehicle chargers, various charging speed facilities are now available, which is expected to alleviate inconveniences for drivers."
