CJ Group announced on the 17th that it will donate 500 million won to aid recovery efforts in the Gangneung area of Gangwon-do, which suffered significant damage from wildfires.

The donation will be delivered through the National Disaster Relief Association and used for emergency livelihood support and various damage restoration efforts in the Gangneung area, which has been declared a special disaster zone.

A CJ representative stated, “We decided to donate to offer some support to residents who have lost their homes and are suffering due to the unexpected fire,” adding, “In addition to the donation, we will continue various forms of support using the group’s diverse infrastructure to aid recovery and the swift return to daily life.”
