Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on the 17th that it conducted emergency bell inspections in public restrooms at parks and other locations from the 20th of last month to the 14th of this month.
With the increase in outdoor activities during spring, safety inspections were carried out on emergency bell operation status, two-way voice communication, and illegal camera installations at 106 public restrooms, including Eodeung Children's Park within the jurisdiction.
The inspection results identified 4 cases of malfunctioning bells, 1 case of no emergency bell installation, and 7 cases of other facility deficiencies. No illegal cameras, which cause anxiety among women, were found.
A police official stated, "We plan to continue our best efforts in crime prevention activities, including improving crime-vulnerable environments."
